I've talked to you about Hilda on many occasions. This is the first time I've found some video to share with you. Hilda was my teacher when I was a teenager. Even in this little clip, I think you'll see very clearly how strong her influence was on me and how it remains a big part of me to this day.
I hope you enjoy spending a few moments with my teacher, Hilda Charlton.
PS – The next YOFA 101 Meditation Workshop has been scheduled. I'll be telling you more about it very soon. You can sign up here: Learn How to Meditate
In this brief article, I want to share with you a chakra healing technique you can use any time to promote healing in your body.
You can use this method before or after a session of meditation. You can also use it while running for a bus or driving in your car. This natural healing technique is utterly simple and surprisingly effective. Of course, if you want to get more involved with its complexities, you can. But for now, let's keep it nice and simple.
It is based on the resonance between two powerful waves of energy that you can easily activate in your awareness. As powerful as any one modality may be in the self-healing toolbox, when you skillfully combine two resonant tools, you increase your results exponentially.
We begin with the energy of the root chakra. This energy center is located at the base of your spine – or more specifically, at the base of your torso. This is not a physical structure but a constellation of energy. Like the magnetic field around a magnet, your root chakra also exerts an invisible force. This chakra represents an energetic vortex of influence in the root region of your body consciousness.
Begin this simple process by focusing your attention on this area of your body – the base of the torso. As you do this, realize that it is not your body you are activating. You are awakening this region of your consciousness.

Many people cannot sit cross-legged on a meditation cushion. If that is you, you can still get the full benefit of the YOFA System of Inner Alignment.
Sitting cross-legged is not required!
While there are many beautiful yoga supplies you can buy, and many meditation cushions and benches that can bring a sacred feeling as well as physical support, you do not need any of them.
Here is a question that came in from someone who is reading Rooted in the Infinite and working with the meditations:
I find it hard to meditate because my mind wanders and I don't seem to shut down. That's partly due to the fact that I have a slightly bulging disc at L5, S1 and I'm concerned that I'm not sitting in proper alignment. Additionally, I can't cross my legs due to arthritis in both hips. LOL! So I guess I don't relax enough to do the actual meditation because I'm concerned about my alignment. Any thoughts on how to proceed?
Sitting on a Chair
Sit in a chair where you're sitting at the edge of the seat and your knees are slightly lower than your hips. Or at least your thighs are parallel with the floor. (Make sure your knees are not higher than your hips.) Your feet are flat on the floor. It may take a little searching to find the right height chair.
If the discs are too irritated by sitting, you can do this standing. You can stand next to a table or chair with your hands on the back of the chair or on the table to maintain your balance while your eyes are closed.
Although this is not a meditation to do lying down, you have much freedom to discover an upright posture that allows you to relax your body and focus on your inner alignment.
PLEASE NOTE: The recording below is not me reading this text. The content of the post is in therecording. The recording is about 17 minutes long, so get a cup of tea and prepare to transform your relationship with your mother (and everyone else). Enjoy!
[mc id="700" type="audio"]What if Your Mother Bugs You on Mothers Day? – Mothers Day and Law of Attraction[/mc]
This recordings offers a bit of an unusual approach to Mother's Day. In fact, as you listen, you will quickly realize that this did not start out as a Mothers Day topic. But through a few spontaneous twists and turns, this topic becomes the aspect of Mother's Day that no one ever talks about.
Law of Attraction
A new reader of Rooted in the Infinite recently posted a comment on my Facebook wall that reminded me of the 3 statements that I offer about Law of Attraction right at the beginning of the book. (Thanks Rob):
It is eternally consistent
It applies to all things physical and nonphysical
It sits silently at the center of your world holding everything together
People have written to me about the challenges they have during family gatherings. They particularly write to me to let me know that the YOFA jhe Sessions help harmonize their relationships so that family gatherings are more love filled. How can you apply the principles of Inner Alignment, Law of Attraction, and Unconditional Love to your Mothers Day celebration as well as to every other relationship every other day of the year?
Transforming Mothers Day into A True Celebration of Love
Any human relationship will have conflicts, challenges, and difficult moments. And of all the types of relationships, the mother-child relationship may just rank as one of the most complex and profoundly influential (in both directions). Mothers Day is a time to feel the awesome connection that you have with your mother (even if you are a mother and more focused on your children). And yet we often get caught up in silly, superficial obstacles to experiencing that love connection. Please listen to this 17 minute recording and let me know how you are able to apply this – either to your relationship with your mother – or to any other aspect of your life.
