  1. Yes,

    I was there.

The times they are a changin’

It has taken us more years than we had thought it might have from here to now but there is more than just hope.

When all the old hippies that turned yuppies come back to center we will be there.

It takes what it takes however, I am so happy just to be here NOW

  2. Thank you Rebbie, Right on! Yes, it was outrageous at that time. Glad we are in this time space now. I am older than you are. I remember when I became interested in Integral Yoga in 1970, and well meaning friends and family were concerned that I was caught by a cult. Think about how mainstream yoga is now worldwide. Happy Birthday 2 U and Thank you for the beautiful thoughts and visuals. My heart of hearts sends Valentine waves of love to you. Happy dawning in Aquarius and to our new age. Namaste, Nancy
Waves of Love sent your way take in 3 deep breaths and receive it all!

  3. I never saw the play ‘Hair’, but I have the movie verson on VHS. Hearing the song seemed to trigger great curiosity in me at the time, almost like a call to come home, and upon reading the lyrics on the Daily OM discusion panel I found myself unexpectedly choked up as I remember those amazeing, outrageous times. Everything from Bob Dylan,The Beatles, The Doors, hippies, like out of a time warp gypsies, Woodstock, the back to the land movement, and the slamming shut of our hopeful hearts with “Four dead in Ohio”…Kent State where our own National Guard opened fire on unarmed collage students.
I had a simalar welling up of emotion when old Pete Seeger led that huge crowd at Mr Obamas ignagoration in ‘This Land is your Land, this land is my land…’
It does indeed feel like we have come to some completion after going underground for 40 years and finding out what makes the illusion tick, and now we’re going to expose the way it works, and offer new, real and sustainable solutions. And not just things that feed the mind, but ways of living that sustain the body, give freedom to the emotions to do the function they were designed to do [act as guidence]and offer spirit channels thru which to flow to create new constructs.Ego is not the problem, misinformed ego that thinks it knows everything, and is sometimes right, is the problem

  4. Dear Rebbie, That is a time trip! I never saw Hair–only heard the music-and it caught your ear! “When Peace will guide our planet, and lo-ve will steer the stars!” I think relationships have evolved, are more open, more able to identify what’s going on in them. There’s more tolerance, but in schools and on tv, lower standards. Ideals are so beautiful, so pure, so all-encompassing! Peace and Love–what more is there? Why didn’t everyone feel that?! 🙂

I agree with you–we’re a lot closer to that vision now–the mind’s true liberation!

A Lovely Valentine’s Day to you, Lovely R!

    Namaste Always,
    Mollie

  5. Try reading Shellie Enteen’s comments. She’s an astrologer whose work I respect. In her newsletter this month she explains:

“Are we entering the Age of Aquarius on February 14th? I read a piece going around the internet now where the author quotes the lyrics to a song from the musical “Hair” – ‘When the Moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars, then peace will guide the planets and love will rule the stars. This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius…’ and suggests that this momentous occasion will occur at dawn on February 14th. At first, it sounded great. Poetry (and lyrics are poems) can be very intuitive. And who better to have this vision than the 60’s hippie generation with Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, in Gemini…the mind? Then, being a curious astrologer, I set up a chart for the moment on February 14th that the Moon in the Libra enters the 7th house of partnership and harmony. I discovered that it takes place at 8:25 a.m. (approx.) EST, long after dawn. The Moon remains in the seventh house after entering the sign of Scorpio, until 10:10 a.m. Perhaps it happens a bit earlier in the UK and Greenwich time zone. What is interesting about the 8:25 a.m. EST chart is that Uranus, ruler of Aquarius, rises in the east at that time, in the sign of Pisces. But Mars and Jupiter do not meet (the alignment) in any time zone until the 16th…the Moon in Scorpio is in the 7th house that day, making for more intense emotions than the peace and harmony Libran Moon. Mars and Jupiter are also not exactly aligned in declination and latitude (positions in the sky, versus signs) on the 14th either. Oh, phooey!

“The writer of the ‘dawning of Aquarius’ piece also states that “Venus in Aries in the first house energizes and empowers dynamic co-creativity.” Not really, or I should say, not in my experience and understanding. The first house and Aries is about individuation of self and this is the antithesis of the Libra, seventh house focus on the significant other and partnership or even the Aquarian 11th house focus on the group. Venus here does not shift Aries to co-creation, but rather fuels the love and value of individual exploration at best, selfish and impulsive acts at worst. Sighing, I put away the tie dyes and bell bottoms…for a while.”

  6. The site that my friend had sent me to was that of was Jude Currivan PhD

    http://www.judecurrivan.com

Part of what she says is this:

“At dawn on 14th February the day dedicated to St Valentine, the patron saint of Love, the Moon in Libra enters the seventh house of relationships. And Jupiter and Mars are aligned in Aquarius in the twelfth house of spiritual transformation.

“Forty years ago, the intuitive words of a song called Aquarius, brought the dawning of the new age into our collective awareness:

When the Moon is in the seventh house

    and Jupiter aligns with Mars.

Then peace will guide the planets

and love will steer the stars

“At dawn on 14th February the Cosmos actually embodies this perfect alignment to support our collective manifestation of love and peace and dawning of the Age of Aquarius.”

Well, whether it’s “true” or not, I like any excuse to expect peace, love, and harmony.

    With Love,
    Rebbie

  7. Thanks Rebbie. I’m with you on this. “whether it’s true or not”It’s a great time to focus on, and EXPECT peace, love and harmony.
It’s the power of our minds, and the desires of our hearts, and the value and love of our own bodies ,that sacred trinity that gives Spirit a nice clear channel thru which to flow and create a new reality for this planet.Time to let down our hair, put in a flower or two and wrap a tye died something about our shoulders. I never did give up my love of incence…
